Last week a man who’s been harassing my coworkers spit at me because he hates bulldykes, the cops refused to do anything, and I was instructed to give police free coffee. Two weeks before a different customer complained to the owner because I asked him to keep his mask on. I have been working with the public since March and we haven’t received hazard or holiday pay. In June I worked alone against the clock to make sure I got home before curfew. I have gotten five covid tests. I’m late to work a lot. There are still dead bodies sitting in trucks back home in NYC.
